A modern refrigeration and logistics complex equipped with shock-freezing technology and built under the DMSOP project was officially opened on July 18 in the village of Kyzyl-Suu, Jeti-Oguz District.
This is not just a new infrastructure facility, but an important step in developing a modern system for the storage and processing of agricultural produce. The complex will help preserve harvests, improve product quality, and create new opportunities for farmers, cooperatives, and processing enterprises.
The opening ceremony was attended by Zhanara Bakirova, Director of the Organic Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic; Ermek Bakhavadinov, Head of the Jeti-Oguz District; Oleg Guchgeldyev, FAO Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic; and Aitkul Burkhanov, General Director of the Kyrgyz Association of Forest and Land Users.
The new complex will make it possible to:
— preserve harvests and reduce post-harvest losses;
— provide modern shock freezing and long-term quality storage of produce;
— increase the income of agricultural producers;
— expand opportunities to bring produce from the local market to international markets;
— create new jobs and support the development of rural communities.
The opening of the complex is an important step toward the sustainable development of value chains, improving the competitiveness of Kyrgyz products, and regional development.
