Aitkul Mustafayevich Burkhanov is the General Director of KAFLU. Under his leadership, the association protects forest users’ rights, introduces sustainable land management methods, and develops organic production.
Aitkul Mustafayevich Burkhanov also chairs the Governing Council of the National Land Commission of Kyrgyzstan and is a leading expert on land reform and rural communities’ resource rights.
Professional expertise: sustainable forest management, long-standing public service in forestry, leadership of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, land rights, and reforms.
