On September 18, as part of the DMSOP project, a meeting was held in Leylek District with the heads of the Leylek Forestry and the Sarkent State Nature Park.

The meeting focused on the DMSOP project’s activities and opportunities, the development of sustainable forestry and agriculture, the promotion of local products, and support for local entrepreneurs.

Particular attention was paid to further cooperation and to unlocking the region’s natural and economic potential.

On September 19, 2026, within the framework of the DMSOP project, an information and consultation event was held in Kulundu rural municipality, Leylek District, Batken Region, for beneficiaries who received social support under the project and for local entrepreneurs. Mirlan Murzakulov, the project specialist for the southern regions, advised participants on the proper use of greenhouses, growing agricultural crops, developing small businesses, and earning income from their produce and bringing it to market.

The main goal of the event was to help beneficiaries use their greenhouses effectively and to guide them towards developing small businesses that can bring a stable income.

Also, as part of the visit, information and consultation meetings were held in Leylek District with members of the “Mol Tushum” cooperative and local entrepreneurs. The discussions focused on the opportunities provided by the DMSOP project and support for the development of local businesses.

DMSOP continues its work to promote sustainable agriculture and forestry, develop organic production, and create new economic opportunities in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
