The Association of Forest and Land Users of Kyrgyzstan and the Forestry Service under the Emergencies Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum of cooperation on the sustainable management of forest resources.
A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Association of Forest and Land Users of Kyrgyzstan and the Forestry Service under the Emergencies Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The document was signed by the Association’s Director General Aitkul Burkhanov and the Director of the Forestry Service Nurgazy Chodoev.
The cooperation aims to develop sustainable forest resource management, strengthen the partnership between the state and the private sector, and promote the «green» economy. Priorities include developing value-added chains, supporting local communities, preserving biodiversity, and adapting to climate change.
The parties also intend to expand international cooperation and attract investment into the forestry sector.
