Kyrgyz Association of Forest and Land Users
Message from the Director General
Burkhanov Aitkul Mustafaevich — Year 2025 in Review
Dear friends, colleagues, and like-minded partners!
The year 2025 has come to a close — a year that marked not just another milestone for our Association, but a time of genuine breakthrough. Looking back, I want first and foremost to thank each and every one of you. The results we speak of in this report are not merely numbers on a page — they are the product of your daily, dedicated work on the land and in the forests.
2025 has shown us: our strength lies in unity. We have crossed an important threshold. We are no longer just a group of forest and land users — we have become a powerful union of employers, one that the state takes seriously. The award received from the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic this year is not a recognition of my personal merits, but of the significance of our entire Association.
What did we accomplish together? We proved that we can build our own tools for growth. The launch of our Microcredit Agency “Asyl Jer-Tokoy” is our answer to the high interest rates of banks. We began implementing a cluster approach so that each of you — whether a small farmer or a wild plant harvester — could receive a fair price for your labor and access to global markets. Our shared success at exhibitions in Germany and the UAE confirmed that Kyrgyz products are in demand worldwide, when they are quality-certified.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Ambitious plans lie ahead. We will continue implementing our projects, expand grant support for vulnerable households, and introduce smart technologies in forest management. Our priority is to ensure that every member of the Association feels protected and has opportunities to develop their business.
We closed 2025 with a strong foundation. We preserved our forests, strengthened our households, and most importantly — preserved our trust in one another.
Thank you for your dedication to our shared cause. I am confident that together we will make 2026 even more successful and fruitful!
